2014 US Grand Prix Race Results

Lewis Hamilton stormed to his 10th victory of the 2014 Formula 1 season in Austin today to become the most successful British Formula 1 driver in history with 32 victories to his name, and extend his championship lead to 24 points.

Hamilton started the race from second place, behind his pole-starting team mate Nico Rosberg, and remained behind the German after the first round of pit stops, but the Briton took the lead by diving down the inside under braking for Turn 12 on lap 24 of 56.

Rosberg was then unable to catch his team mate who went on to score his 32nd career victory, equalling Fernando Alonso, who finished the race in sixth place for Ferrari.

Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo overcame the two Williams of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas to round out the podium, while the Williams pair finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Sebastien Vettel, who started from the pit lane after having his engine replaced, finished seventh.
