Volkswagen’s Sebastien Ogier has made a great start to his 2014 Wales Rally GB campaign, winning three (SS1, SS2, SS4) out of four special stages this morning to take the lead on the first day of the event.
Ogier’s Finnish team mate Jari-Matti Latvala won the third special stage and currently lies 2nd overall ahead of Citroen’s Mads Ostberg who’s 3rd overall, around 40 seconds behind the VW pair and is closely chased by M-Sport’s Mikko Hirvonen.
In WRC2, Jari Ketomaa leads the way ahead of title rival Nasser Al-Attiyah. Al-Attiyah has a 20-point advantage over Ketomaa whose only chance of claiming the title is trouble for the Qatari and a place outside the top 7.
