Jari-Matti Latvala has extended his lead on the final morning of Rally Sweden after clocking the quickest times in all of the morning’s four special stages (SS17-SS20). Latvala currently leads with a comfortable 42-second gap to Volkswagen teammate Andreas Mikkelsen.
Mikkelsen had a rough morning, losing 25 seconds in SS18 alone as Citroen’s Mads Ostberg closed in and is now 16 seconds behind in third place overall. Mikko Hirvonen and Ott Tanak maintained fourth and fifth overall.
2013 World Champion Sebastien Ogier has moved up to P7 after the incident on day 3 dropped him back to P10; the Frenchman now guns for a sixth place finish as he’s 27 seconds behind Henning Solberg with four stages to go.
