2015 Barcelona Test 2 – Day 2: Rosberg on top

February 27, 2015 – Nico Rosberg partially revealed Mercedes’ pace on the second day of the second pre-season winter test in Barcelona as he set the fastest time on the Spanish circuit so far.

Rosberg clocked a 1 minute 22.792, on soft tyres, which is 0.7 seconds quicker than Felipe Massa’s effort yesterday.

Valtteri Bottas was second fastest for Williams, followed by the Sauber of Felipe Nasr and the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel, with the latter clocking the biggest amount of laps with 142.

McLaren enjoyed its proper first day of running as Jenson Button managed 101 laps in the Honda-powered MP4-30.

Force India ran its 2015 car, the VJM08, for the first time today with Nico Hulkenberg behind the wheel. The German managed 77 laps, but ended the day in the bottom of the timesheet.
