2015 Belgian Grand Prix Race Results

August 23, 2015 – Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton took a lights to flag victory at the eleventh round of the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship in Belgium this afternoon to extend his championship lead to 28 points.

Starting from pole, Hamilton maintained P1 into the first corner while teammate Rosberg made a bad start and dropped to fifth, and while he recovered to second place, he was unable to challenge Hamilton.

Sebastian Vettel was on course to finish third, but a right-rear tyre failure on the last lap forced him to retire from the race, handing the position to Lotus’ Romain Grosjean.

A late surge for Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat saw him pull off some spectacular moves before finishing fifth ahead of Force India’s Sergio Perez and Williams’ Felipe Massa.

Kimi Raikkonen made a great recovery from 16th on the grid to finish 8th, followed by Williams’ Valtteri Bottas and Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson.
