July 3, 2015 – Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg led Friday morning’s opening practice at Silverstone, despite losing much of the session to a gearbox change. World champion Lewis Hamilton was second, just 0.070s behind his team mate, with Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen third.
