2015 Chinese Grand Prix Results

April 12, 2015 – After their defeat to Ferrari in Malaysia, Mercedes struck back in China today as their British driver Lewis Hamilton secured a dominant victory ahead of team-mate Nico Rosberg, while the two Ferraris finished third and fourth.

Hamilton lead the way from the start and made a two stop strategy work perfectly, while Rosberg and the two Ferraris struggled to keep up, with the latter two dropping back significantly on the final stint on prime tyres, before a late safety car – caused by Max Verstappen’s Toro Rosso parking on the pit straight in a cloud of smoke – eliminated the Hamilton’s gap to the Ferraris.

Raikkonen, who was closing on Vettel in the final stages of the races, settled for fourth place ahead of the two Williams of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas.

Romain Grosjean secured Lotus’ first points of the season after he finished in seventh place ahead of Sauber’s Felipe Nasr and Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo who battled throughout the race.
