September 27, 2015 – Lewis Hamilton produced another dominant performances this year to take his 41st career victory at the 2015 Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka today.
Hamilton made a good start from P2 and managed to overtake his pole-sitting teammate Nico Rosberg on the second corner, while the German dropped to fourth after going wide. The Briton was uncontested for all of the race, leading from start to finish to secure his 8th win of the season and extend his championship lead.
Rosberg took third place from Williams’ Valtteri Bottas after a great overtaking move on turn 16, and then snatched second place from Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel after the second round of pit stops.
Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) overtook Bottas through strategy to take fourth, while the Williams driver settled for fifth ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Romain Grosjean respectively.
Hamilton extended his championship lead to 48 points at the end of the Japanese Grand Prix, with 5 more rounds to go.
