February 4, 2015 – Kimi Raikkonen completed a successful first pre-season test for Ferrari by setting the pace on the final day at Spain’s Jerez track. It is the third time in four days a Ferrari has been fastest, as the teams reached one-third distance in their preparations for the 2015 season.
Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson was second ahead of Lewis Hamilton, whose Mercedes team completed by far the most mileage. Hamilton succeeded in passing the 100-lap mark for the first time at this test, after a water leak limited him to 91 on day two.
Lotus and McLaren both wrapped up the test early due to power unit and fuel pump problems respectively, while Red Bull lost time with an ERS problem earlier in the day that forced Daniil Kvyat to stop on track in the morning.
