June 27, 2015 – The fourth round of the 2015 Lebanese Rotax Max Karting Championship concluded this afternoon at the Pit Stop circuit in Zouk Mosbeh, with Samer Mattar taking the win in the highest DD2 class after a magnificent race that witnessed a five-way battle for the lead.
Mattar overcame Patrick Njeim, Abdo Feghali, Sari Abou Rahal and French kart racer Nicolas Picot – who all had a shot at winning – to finish 3 seconds ahead of his closely matched rivals.
In Senior-Max, Matthias Njeim and Samer Mattar battled for the lead, but a collision between the pair allowed Joey Hajj, who started last, through to second place, while Njeim kept his lead and Mattar salvaged P3.
Christophe Rizk drove a dominant race in the Junior-Max class, finishing well ahead of Carl Rizk and Georges Nader who both benefited from a collision between Christopher Njeim and Rashed Ghanem to climb on the podium.
Jay Naameh enjoyed a straightforward race in Mini-Max to take the win, with Jazz Faucon managing to overtake Charbel Yammine for second place.
In Micro-Max, Ryan Khneisser put on a great performance to eventually secure victory after starting from third, behind Sami-Joe Abi Nakhleh and Edwin Khneisser.
