2015 Rally France Day 1 Results

October 2, 2015 – M-Sport Ford’s Elfyn Evans led the way on the first day of action in Rally France/Tour de Corse that witnessed the cancellation of the second special stage and a delay ahead of the third special due to torrential rain, which resulted in landslides and floods.

Both Sebastien Ogier and Robert Kubica set the quickest time on the opening special this morning, but it was Evans who clocked the fastest time in tricky conditions in SS3 to snatch the lead, while Hyundai’s Kevin Abbring set the second fastest time in Friday’s last stage to find himself in second place overall heading into Saturday.

A puncture for Ogier in SS3 dropped him back to 10th place overall, and he’s now over a full minute behind the leaders, while Volkswagen teammate Latvala fared much better and currently lies third in the overall standings ahead of Citroen’s Mads Ostberg and Ford driver Robert Kubica.
