2015 Rally France Day 2 Results

October 3, 2015 – Volkswagen’s Jari-Matti Latvala snatched the Rally France lead from M-Sport Ford’s Elfyn Evans today in another troubled day that witnessed the cancellation of another stage.

Saturday’s opening special stage (SS4) was scrapped due to poor weather conditions, which left just two stages for the day, the first of which (SS5) was won by Jari-Matti Latvala to close in on leader Elfyn Evans.

Sebastien Ogier, who was forced to start under Rally 2 regulations after stopping on a road section yesterday because of a gearbox issue, won the day’s last stage (SS6), while Latvala set the second fastest time to take the lead from Evans.

Latvala goes into the final day of competition with a 2-second lead over Evans; Andreas Mikkelsen (VW) and Kris Meeke (Citroen) are third and fourth, while Hyundai’s Kevin Abbring dropped from second place to fifth place overall.
