2015 WRC Rally Poland: Ogier leads first day

July 3, 2015 – Volkswagen’s Sebastien Ogier came out on top at the end of the first full day of competition in the seventh round of the 2015 World Rally Championship in Poland.

Ogier battled with teammate Andreas Mikkelsen and M-Sport Ford’s Ott Tanak throughout the day and secured two special stage wins (out of 8) to finish the day just 2.1 seconds ahead of second-placed Mikkelsen.

Tanak led the way for the majority of the day, but lost time to Ogier and his rivals on the second loop, which means he’s now fourth overall behind the consistent Jari-Matti Latvala.

Local hero Robert Kubica lies sixth overall and is sandwiched between the two Hyundais of Hayden Paddon and Thierry Neuville.
