July 23, 2016 – It started very wet and ended – almost two hours later – practically dry. After a delayed start and four red-flag stoppages, Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg emerged fastest from Saturday’s qualifying at the Hungaroring to clinch pole position for the 2016 Hungarian GP, beating team mate Lewis Hamilton by barely a tenth of a second as the Briton aborted his pole lap due to a yellow flag caused by Alonso’s spinning McLaren.
