September 15, 2015 – Hyundai Motorsport has revealed a preview of the New Generation i20 WRC rally car at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) this week.
The new i20 WRC rally car, which is based on the new-generation i20 road car, “highlights Hyundai Motor’s passion for performance and engineering competency” and it is the first prototype for the vehicle in which the South Korean hopes to challenge for the podium in the 2016 World Rally Championship.
The new car is building up to its final rally-specification ahead of its debut at the start of the 2016 World Rally Championship season at Rallye Monte Carlo, as it is already undergoing an intensive testing, engineering and development program.
