April 23, 2016 – Hyundai’s Hayden Paddon has taken the lead of Rally Argentina, the fourth round of the 2016 World Rally Championship, as Volkswagen’s Jari-Matti Latvala went off.
Paddon was third overall going into Day 2, but wins in today’s two opening stages (SS10 and SS11) helped him snatch second place overall from Sebastien Ogier, before the leader Latvala – who won SS12 and SS13 – went off in SS14, which resulted in him losing first place to Paddon.
The Hyundai driver now leads with a healthy 30-second gap separating him from Ogier, whilst Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen lies third, followed by the second Hyundai of Dani Sordo in fourth.
