2016 Rally Mexico results after Day 3

March 6, 2016 – Jari-Matti Latvala’s dominant display continued on the third day of Rally Mexico competition as he extended his lead over team-mate Sebastien Ogier to a very comfortable 1 minute 35.7 second gap.

Latvala set the quickest time in six special stages in a row, starting with SS11, till SS16; Hyundai’s Dani Sordo won in SS17, while Sebastien Ogier clocked the fastest times on the day’s last two specials (SS18 and SS19).

Ogier sits comfortably in second place; he’s more than a minute ahead of Sordo, while fourth-placed Mads Ostberg (M-Sport Ford), who inherited the position from Andreas Mikkelsen who crashed his VW, is more than 2 minutes behind the Hyundai.

Teemu Suninen holds a very healthy lead in WRC 2, more than 3 minutes ahead of Hubert Ptaszek, while Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari retired due to a mechanical failure.
