April 8, 2017 – Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton secured his 63rd career pole position after beating the opposition in qualifying for the 2017 Chinese Grand Prix. Hamilton clocked 1m31.678s to claim pole by 0.186s over Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel who settled for the second fastest time.
