November 30, 2016 – Toyota has been quite busy testing its upcoming sports car which will carry the legendary Supra nameplate and the latest batch of spy photos reveal some interesting design cues.
The photos clearly show that the 2018 Supra, which is being developed in collaboration with BMW, will be heavily inspired by the Toyota FT-1 Concept that was revealed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
The car’s powertrain remains an unknown, but rumors suggest that it will be powered by a six-cylinder engine from BMW or a hybrid system featuring a turbocharged four-cylinder BMW engine and two electric motors.
