Rodrigue Rahi secured a commanding victory in the 35th Spring Rally, the opening round of the 2019 Lebanese Rally Championship, after a dominant performance onboard his Mitsubishi Evo IX under heavy rain and hard wet driving conditions.
Rodrigue, alongside co-driver Georges Nader, was nearly unchallenged throughout the event, winning four out of seven special stages to take the win by a comfortable over 2-minutes margin from Mitsubishi Evo IX young Castrol Arabia Motortune Racing Academy driver Patrick Njeim, who finished second after a mechanical problem in SS2 prevented him from fighting for the rally win.
Raafat Al Mohtar’s first outing this season was spectacular as he finished third overall sealing his first ever career podium, whilst Albert Hayeck didn’t have any problem in dominating the front-wheel drive category onboard the Renault Clio in his first ever rally partcipation!
Joey Hajj successfully completed his first ever rally in the Renault Clio RS, with a consistent and great performance winning the RC4 and Junior Cup Category.
