Porsche concludes 911 Dakar production with a stunning one-off Sonderwunsch edition, featuring custom paintwork and striking interior details.
Porsche has officially wrapped up production of the 911 Dakar, having built just 2500 units. But before closing the chapter, the automaker created a one-of-a-kind Sonderwunsch edition to give the off-road-inspired sports car a grand send-off.
The Porsche 911 Dakar already stands out with its rugged yet refined looks, but the Sonderwunsch edition elevates this appeal even further. Finished with Porsche’s Rallye Design Package, the car boasts a stunning three-tone paint job, meticulously applied by hand. The lower part of the car gleams in Gentian Blue Metallic, while the upper section pops in vibrant Signal Yellow. Separating these colors is a thin line of Lampedusa Blue, named after the picturesque Italian island, and developed in collaboration with the vehicle’s owner.
The color theme extends to the car’s wheels, with Signal Yellow spokes accented by a Lampedusa Blue lip. Additional Lampedusa Blue detailing outlines the headlight housings. Inside, the cabin is just as striking, with Signal Yellow accents and stitching decorating the seats, door panels, and center console. A Lampedusa Blue hash mark at the 12 o’clock position on the steering wheel adds a unique touch.
While the Sonderwunsch edition focuses on visual enhancements, the car retains the impressive performance of the standard 911 Dakar. Powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six engine from the 911 GTS, it delivers 473 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. This setup rockets the Dakar from 0 to 60 mph in a thrilling 2.9 seconds.
Though only one lucky owner will possess the Sonderwunsch edition, fans can still admire this masterpiece. It will be on display at the Porsche Museum before making its way to its new home.
