The all-new GX, launched in 2024 with its boxy design and powerful twin-turbo V-6 engine, debuted Lexus’s first-ever Overtrail off-road trims. However, despite their off-road-focused features like all-terrain tires, the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS), and Crawl Control, they initially offered the same ground clearance as standard models.
For 2025, the Overtrail and Overtrail+ trims now offer 9.84 inches of ground clearance, a noticeable increase over the previous 8.66 inches. While the approach (26 degrees), departure (22 degrees), and breakover (24 degrees) angles remain unchanged, as does the 27.56-inch wading depth, the additional clearance provides better protection against rough terrains—something no serious off-roader would pass up.
