Redesigned Lexus ES Arrives with Hybrid and EV Options
Lexus has unveiled the all-new 2026 ES sedan, featuring bold styling and a choice between hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Built on Toyota’s GA-K platform—shared with the latest Camry—the revamped ES was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show and is set to hit U.S. dealerships in 2026.
Buyers can choose the ES350h hybrid, which delivers 244 horsepower via a 2.5-liter engine and compact eAxle setup, or go electric with the ES350e or dual-motor ES500e. The latter sprints from 0–62 mph in just 5.9 seconds thanks to 338 horsepower and dynamic all-wheel drive. The ES350e offers an estimated 300-mile range.
Visually, the new ES features an angular, fastback silhouette inspired by the LF-ZC concept and RZ SUV. EV variants swap the traditional grille for a sleek panel with subtle cooling vents, while hybrids maintain a narrow intake. Split headlights, checkmark-shaped DRLs, and a bold LED rear bar elevate the car’s futuristic appeal.
Inside, a minimalist cabin boasts increased space, premium finishes, and 3D-printed bamboo-look trim. A 14-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto anchors the tech-forward interior, joined by a 12.3-inch digital cluster and enhanced voice controls. Optional luxury perks include massaging rear seats and a Mark Levinson audio system.
The 2026 ES also debuts Lexus Safety System+ 4.0, offering advanced driver assistance.
