Toyota has brought back the C-HR nameplate for the 2026 model year—this time as a fully electric crossover. The all-new C-HR EV offers 338 horsepower, up to 290 miles of range, and a bold design, making it one of Toyota’s most exciting compact SUVs yet.
Replacing the old gas-powered version, the 2026 C-HR features a 74.7-kWh battery and dual electric motors. It accelerates from 0–60 mph in just 5.0 seconds—faster than the GR86 and nearly matching the GR Corolla. Charging is quick too: 10–80% in just 30 minutes via DC fast charging. And thanks to its NACS plug, it can access Tesla Superchargers.
Built on Toyota’s e-TNGA electric platform, the C-HR measures 177.9 inches long and 63.8 inches tall, slotting slightly below the RAV4 in size. The SUV retains its coupe-inspired shape, with a sloping rear, slim LED lighting, and a sporty new front fascia. Base SE models get 18-inch wheels, while the XSE rides on 20-inch alloys.
Inside, the cabin is packed with tech. A 14.0-inch touchscreen comes standard, running Toyota’s latest infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and built-in 4G Wi-Fi. A digital instrument cluster sits behind the wheel for added convenience.
Safety is standard, too—Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and emergency braking across the lineup.
With modern performance, cutting-edge features, and head-turning style, the 2026 Toyota C-HR EV marks a powerful return for the beloved compact SUV.
