The 41st Nuburgring 24-hour race is back underway after it came to a complete stop shortly before the 6 hour mark last night due to heavy rain – which initially started at the fourth hour – as well as a return of the fog that spoiled Thursday morning’s running.
Aston Martin Racing’s #7 Vantage GT3 leads the race, having benefited from an early stop to cut through the field, with the Manthey Racing SP7 #18 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in second and the #26 Marc VDS BMW Z4 in third.
The #1 Audi R8 LMS ultra of G-Drive Racing by Phoenix holds fourth, followed by the #25 Marc VDS BMW Z4 in fifth. The better-placed BMW Team Schubert #20 Z4 GT3 lies in 15th place overall.
