May 21, 2016 – The second round of the 2016 Lebanese Speed Test Championship came to a conclusion today in Beirut Waterfront with Paul Kossaifi claiming the overall victory after a fierce battle with Garo Haroutiounian.
Kossaifi clocked 1:07.38 in the Mitsubishi Evo IX to win the Pro category after going less than a second quicker than his main rival Garo Haroutiounian (Mitsubishi Evo VII) who settled for second place overall.
Pierre Rizk finished first in the Super Series category and third overall, while Charbel Makhlouf won the Amateur class and L/3 category; Charbel Ghanem took home the Renault Sport Cup.
Carlos Chamoun won the RC2 cup, and Georges Chidiac triumphed in the RC4 cup. The L/2 category was won by Antoine Salem.
Rony El Asmar claimed victory in the rear-wheel drive Super Series category and Elias Dehni finished first in the front-wheel drive Super Series class. Boojy won the RWD Pro category and Richard Ibrahim pulled off a similar result in the FWD Pro category.
Andree Maaraoui won the Ladies Cup in the Super Series category, while Ghada Chebli took her second consecutive Ladies Cup in the Amateur class and also won the L/1 category.
