It was business as usual for our photographer Ephrem Chemaly during the 55th ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup which was held at the Nurburing Nordschleife yesterday. The race was won by Marcel Fässler and Frank Stippler on their Audi R8 LMS ultra; below is Ephrem’s awesome work from event.
Ephrem’s Report from his race day coverage: ” Thick fog on the circuit, freezing temperatures, rain and snow. Visibility was bad overall. we were literally standing in the pouring rain all day long. Qualifications kicked off at 8am for a period of 2 hours: Car #19 got 35th position while car #20 got 10th position for the starting grid. Meanwhile, weather continued to worsen by the minute, but fog started to slowly dissipate around noon.
At noon the race started after two formation laps for more than 200 cars divided into 3 groups.
The two Schubert BMWs kept slowly but steadily gaining positions untill the race ended with one of them in the 2nd position and the second in the 8th position.
In 1st place came Phoenix Racing Team (Audi R8 LMS Ultra)
In 2nd place came Schubert BMW Team (BMW Z4 GT3)
In 3rd place came TIMBULI Racing Team (PORSCHE 911 GT3R)”
