Red Bull racing have confirmed that Sebastian Buemi will be their test driver for 2012. The Swiss who joined the team in 2009 was a Torro Rosso driver last year alongside teammate Jaime Alguersari. Both drivers were stunned by Torro Rosso’s decision to replace both them and were left without seats for 2012. In his 3 year spell with Torro Rosso, Buemi proved to be very consistent, but never showed any flare or signs of complete brilliance similar to what Sebastian Vettel did in 2008 before moving to the main Red Bull. Buemi is a good choice for a third driver since he is young and has some good experience. He may also snatch the chance to drive alongside Vettel when Mark Webber decides to leave the team.
