WRC Sweden 2012 Final results – Latvala triumphs

Jari-Matti Latvala triumphs in Sweden with an amazing drive on snow , despite a puncture in the last couple of stages after hitting a rock . Latvala gradually increased the difference with Hirvonen the Citroen driver during the weekend, and was able to recover from the puncture later one. Hirvonen finished 2nd to collect some valuable championship points and was followed by last year’s runner up Mads Otsberg who finished third. Petter Solberg continued collecting some valuable points for Ford and finished 4th ahead of the star youngster Novikov, who was able to hold Loeb’s charge which left him finally in 6th place. Henning Solberg,  Patrik Sandell, Martin Prokop and Eyvind Brynildsen completed the top 10 where Sandell continued collecting some valuable points for MINI. Sebastien Ogier was 11th in the Volkswagen-run S2000 Skoda, while P-G Andersson gave Proton a maiden victory in the S2000 class. Nasser Al Attiyah finished his first DS3 drive in 21st position while Yazeed Al Rajhi finished the Sweden Rally 24th.

At the power stage Loeb was bloody quick to collect 3 valuable points and was followed by Solberg and Latvala Respectively.
