Lebanese Karting starlet Rubens Bouchabke finished the Chrono Dutch winter championship in 3rd place after impressive displays in the 2 rounds of the championship. As we mentioned before on Biser3a.com Rubens Bouchabke finished the first race in the 2nd place behind Dylan Buys.
In the second round Rubens that took place on February 20 Rubens was fastest in all practice sessions but couldn’t perform the same in qualification and race. He finished the last race in 5th place and made it to the third step of the podium at the end of the championship.
The results of the championship were subject to change after the final round, especially because of claims that other cars might have been running irregular engines. The claim rose due to the unexpected gain in speed for drivers and led them to be superior in the race.
After scrutinizing the results were confirmed and Rubens was honorably in 3rd place. We should mention that the Chrono Dutch winter championship is one of the most important winter karting events in Europe and is known to have produced numerous world single seater champions.
We met Rubens after he returned to Lebanon and sat down for a little chat.
