Top 10 most-stolen vehicles of 2011 in the United States

There are plenty of good lists on which you would love to see your vehicle, but the top 10 most-stolen vehicles roster definitely ain’t one of them.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau released their annual Hot Wheels list containing the top 10 most-stolen vehicles of the year 2011 in the United States, with the only positive being the 3.3 per cent drop in car theft compared to 2010, the lowest number since 1967.

Pre-1997 vehicles lacking smart key technology dominate the list, but late-model theft has been on the rise recently due to thieves getting more high-tech.

In 2011, the top 10 most-stolen vehicles in the United States were:

01. 1994 Honda Accord
02. 1998 Honda Civic
03. 2006 Ford F-Series
04. 1991 Toyota Camry
05. 2000 Dodge Caravan
06. 1994 Acura Integra
07. 1999 Chevrolet Silverado
08. 2004 Dodge Ram
09. 2002 Ford Explorer
10. 1994 Nissan Sentra

Since 2008, Honda’s Accord has been the most theft-friendly vehicle, while other cars also made several appearances but with changes in model years.
