BMW has finally taken the covers off of its 3 Series Coupe replacement this morning, confirming that the new car will indeed be called, and as reported earlier, the 4 Series Coupe.
The all-new 4 Series features sportier and more aggressive styling, but it is worth noting that the car which you see above is in its concept form, therefore will lose some of the design cues when it enters production.
Most striking are the new front and rear bumpers, in addition to a small air scoop on the sides. Aesthetically enhanced headlights and new taillights are also apparent on the new coupe.
The 4 Series Coupe will carry over from the Sedan’s engines: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine developing 240 horsepower on the 428i, and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 300 hp on the 435i.
BMW is expected to publicly unveil the car at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show next month.
Update: BMW has released a video of the 4 Series Coupe Concept reveal presentation held for the media.
