Clemens Schmid came back from a disappointing round 3 last weekend, where he retired from the race after a gearbox failure, to clinch double victories during rounds 5 and 6 on the Dubai Autodrome.
Schmid came under heavy pressure from Saudi Falcons driver Abdulaziz Turki Alfaisal, but the former managed to keep it together and cross the line in first place on both occasions.
Alfaisal secured two second-place finishes, to keep the championship fight very much alive, while teammate Faisal Binladen came 6th in the first race and 10th in the second.
The 7th and 8th rounds of the 2012/2013 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East will take place at the Reem International Circuit in Saudi Arabia on the 6th & 7th February 2013.
