Mercedes-Benz has introduced today a special edition of its C63 AMG model, dubbed «Edition 507». The number stands for the sports car’s total output of 507 horsepower – a 50 hp increase over the standard C63 AMG.
According to the German automaker, the increase in power for the C63 AMG Edition 507 is a result of a technology transfer from the SLS AMG grand tourer, with the car’s V8 engine now featuring forged pistons and a lightweight crankshaft.
The Edition 507 receives high-gloss black finishes on the spoiler lip, the exterior mirror housings as well as the surrounds on the radiator grille and daytime driving lights; it also gets the C63 AMG Black Series’ front bonnet.
0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 4.2 seconds on the Saloon and Coupe model, and in 4.3 seconds on the Estate, therefore outperforming the standard model two tenths of a second.
