Young Lebanese talent Rubens Bouchabke has stunned all attendees of the GK4 Kart Series in Belgium last weekend by grabbing pole position and eventually finishing 2nd in extremely wet conditions on the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Rubens, who’s only 11 years old, required exceptional authorization from the organizers in order to participate in the Junior category (13 to 16 years old). A lot of work was put into Rubens’ achievement, especially by head mechanic Emile Azar.
Unfortunately, Rubens will only take part in 2 out of the 8 GK4 Kart Series races – which spread across Belgium, Netherlands and Germany – due to lack of funding.
