Volkswagen recently organised a special ice driving event in the Swedish town of Arvidsjaur , coincidentally a few days before Sebastien Ogier‘s Swedish Rally win.
The event – located a mere 110 kilometers south from the Arctic circle – was attended by many journalists and media representatives from around the world; the aim was to teach attendees the basics of driving a car on ice, before racing around a 7-kilometre circuit on a frozen lake.
Participants were given a 2013 VW Golf Mk7 powered by a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine and equipped with Volkswagen’s 4Motion four-wheel drive system.
