This is the first part of the post-race interviews at Hammana yesterday where we asked the drivers for their quick view of yesterday’s 4×4 event, the first one this year.
Bassel EL Masri
You showed us a nice way of driving, with good timing, give us your opinion about the race today and was the car ready?
It was a very nice track with some difficulties, and tricky jumps, we were vigilant and avoided breaking the car components, the car was modified to resist and I would like to thank garage Tony Jalbout for the preparation, BF Goodrich tires that gave our car good grip, my wife, my son Alexis , channel 11 offroad group for the support.
This kind of competition needs luck , congratulations for Raymond and all the competitors .Thank god everyone reached the finish line safely.
Dori Hatem

The car was ready for the race we had a problem with the fuel pump during the first run. It was fixed and everything went good .the third run I hit a picket and lost 2 seconds. Thank god we ended safely in the fifth position, we were expecting better results. Thank you guys for your efforts

Geoges Ziade
Give us your Feedback on the race and the car?
Very nice race with minor problems regarding the gloves that were slipping on the nonoriginal steering wheel and shifter, in addition to malfunction of the wipers, so I couldn’t concentrate on the road , I am satisfied being in the 4th position. Hope to do better results next time.
How was the response of the v8 ford engine?
It’s a powerful engine with high torque. But I didn’t extract its full power while driving with a gearbox shifted to the low and high ratio differentials.
This combination is perfect on a lounger and faster tracks where we can reach a 140 km/hr easily .
Thanks for Keirouz bakery lebanonoffroad.com and biser3a.com

Said Zacca
Said you were driving safely and carefully, without pushing the car, and as usual a “show of driver”. Give us more details about the rally today and your experience?
We had an electrical problem during the first run with the coil, which is a rare problem on a wrangler; hard luck, that wasn’t a big deal, I would like to thank; Hovig Payassian who assured the part from his own car, Alain Melki for the last minute preparation, the car was modified in 2 days to keep the cool racing team in the competition, Alain Melki tuning, Saleh 4×4 who was always supporting the team and specially after the crash and Richie Honein who should forget what happened last year and come back to the competition. I would also like to thank my sponsors “Mag1”, “Khoury Auto Parts”, and ” Fine Tune”
We are racing on an old car that is resisting to the pressure since 2000 in comparison with the rockets of the competitors, and suspension wise the wrangler with leaf springs is very hard to control, wich is not the case of the Cherokee that have coil springs more adabtable for this kind of bumpy track, we did our best without damaging the car, thank you biser3a.com and lebanonoffroad.com
