When you mention Lancia to a rally fan, the car that would most likely pop into his/her mind is the legendary Delta Integrale, seemingly forgetting all about the car that gave Lancia its early glory: the sleek and monstrous Stratos HF.
The Delta Integrale is no doubt a marvelous machine, but it’s the Stratos HF that handed Lancia its first WRC Constructors’ championship in 1974, and the very first Drivers’ title in 1977 for Sandro Munari; Lancia went on to clinch the constructors’ title in 1975 and 1976 on the same car, and just to remind you of how brilliant the car was, we dug up this video from 1970s; Enjoy!
