2013 WRC Wales Rally GB Preview

The World Rally Championship visits Great Britain this weekend, a country that has hosted a championship round every year since the WRC was established back in 1973; the event used to roam around England, Scotland and Wales, making it an endurance test rather than a demonstration of pure speed, since 2000 the action has been solely held in Wales.

Wales Rally GB is famous for its gravel-based forest stages featuring fast and undulating roads that are often made slippery by rainfall, ice and even snow. The 2013 itinerary features 24 competitive stages, more than half of which are either totally new or haven’t been featured in the World Championship since the 1990s.
