An eventful third round of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East at the Dubai Autodrome saw Al Nabooda Racing’s Clemens Schmid score a third consecutive victory ahead of teammate Karim Al-Azhari.
Schmid qualified on pole, with Al-Azhari second; their Saudi Falcons rivals Abdulaziz Turki AlFaisal and Faisal Binladen were down in 7th and 8th. During the race, Binalden took advantage of a first lap collision between Mohammad Mattar and Manfred Ender to move up to P4, with AlFaisal fifth.
An inter-team battle between ATF and Binalden ensued, with the former moving past his teammate to take P4, while Binladen eventually settled for fifth place; the Saudi Falcons showed great signs of improvement after two disappointing rounds in Bahrain.
Round 4 will take place tomorrow on the same venue, you can follow all of the sessions live here.
