Sebastien Ogier currently leads a Volkswagen 1-2-3 at Rally Sweden, the second round of the 2014 World Rally Championship, after going quickest in three of today’s six stages.
Ogier and Volkswagen teammate Andreas Mikkelsen, who took the early lead yesterday by winning the Super Special Stage, traded blows as the former won today’s first two stages (SS2 and SS3), while Mikkelsen struck back with wins in SS4 and SS6. However, that wasn’t enough to give the Norwegian the lead as Ogier also claimed the fastest time on Thursday’s final stage (SS7).
Despite failing to win a stage so far, Jari-Matti Latvala lies third overall, 12 seconds behind Ogier, while Ott Tanak hangs on to fourth place; the Estonian rally driver was quickest on SS5.
