Jari-Matti Latvala has maintained a narrow lead in Rally Sweden on the third day’s afternoon loop; the Finn, who took over the lead on SS10, is now just 4 seconds ahead of Volkswagen teammate Andreas Mikkelsen.
The afternoon stages were dominated by Sebastien Ogier; the Frenchman, having lost more than 4 minutes this morning after hitting a snowbank, won the first four of the five special stages, though he remains more than 3 minutes off the front-runners and is down in 9th overall.
Citroen driver Mads Ostberg lies third overall, 43 seconds behind Mikkelsen – winner of SS16, with M-Sport Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen fourth and Ott Tanak fifth.
