All-new BMW X4 shows its face in Geneva

BMW has taken the wraps off the all-new BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

The new BMW X4 is based on the technical blueprint of the BMW X3, and like the X6, it blends the features of the BMW X family with a coupe-like roofline.

The German premium automaker offers three different petrol engines on the new X4, including a 3.0-litre straight-six unit that develops 306 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm in the BMW X4 xDrive35i, a 245 hp turbocharged four-cylinder unit powering the BMW X4 xDrive28i and a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 184 hp  and 270 Nm of torque in the BMW X4 xDrive20i.

All three petrol X4 models come with the eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission as standard. With all automatic models, gears can also be changed using paddles on the sports steering wheel.

The BMW X4 will go into production this spring and is expected to reach our markets in the second half of 2014.
