Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg will start the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday from pole position after setting the quickest laptime in Qualifying. Rosberg posted a 1:15.989, before committing a mistake on his final Q3 run which prevented his teammate Lewis Hamilton from improving, thus forcing him to settle for P2.
Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo was faster than teammate Sebastian Vettel, qualifying third and fourth respectively ahead of the two Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen.
Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne was seventh fastest, followed by McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen and teammate Daniil Kvyat.
