Amiouni, current leader of the Group N category in the Jordan rally, proved once more that he’s an emerging talent backed up by Motortune Lebanon and the multi-time Lebanese rally champion Roger Feghali, who’s in charge of maintaining the Mitsubishi Evolution IX of Amiouni all along the international motorsport event.

The Lebanese youngster, at 21 years of age, has been able to set his pace since the opening stages of the Jordanian rally; despite the slow start in the SS7 in which he ranked 26th, Nicolas handed his timing clock a major improvement as he moved 6 positions onwards in the stages’ standings after the SS8.

In SS9 and SS10, Amiouni imposed his rhythm, ranking 20th in both stages; the 11th stage carried the best of Nicolas who stunned the whole motorsport world by setting the 17th best time, ending the stage ahead of Ostberg and Henning Solberg and far from the closest competitors for the Group N title.

SS12 signaled the end of the Day 1; Amiouni smartly ended the stage in the 22nd spot to secure the leadership of Group N… the Lebanese should be smartly fast tomorrow as he tackles the final day of the Jordan WRC, whereas managing to preserve his 19th rank overall in the WRC standings as a priority and why not, trying to improve in the rankings.
