Automobile Magazine takes two similar yet different sports cars for a drag race on a runway, a Subaru WRX STi and a base Porsche Cayman. Although they are targeted at two very different customer bases, they are pretty close performance-wise.
The Japanese sedan is more powerful, with 305 horsepower compared to the Porsche’s 275 hp, it’s also a lot more torquier, 393 Nm of torque versus the 288 Nm for the Porsche. Also, the Subie is four-wheel drive while the baby Porsche is rear-wheel drive. However, the Cayman tips the scales at 1387 kilograms, 140 kilograms lighter than the WRX STi.
