Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg topped the timesheets during the first free practice session for the 2014 British Grand Prix in Silverstone. He lapped the circuit in 1 minute 35.424 seconds to finish 0.7 seconds ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton.
The session came under a red flag when Williams’ Felipe Massa ran slightly wide out of Stowe and lost the back end of his car on the exit kerb, spinning back across the track into the opposite wall.
