Hennessey Performance is working on a new 460 km/h+ hypercar called the Venom F5, the American company has confirmed.
According to Hennessey, the Venom F5 – named after the tornado classification – will boast a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with more than 1400 horsepower; the company is also working on a new single-clutch paddle-shift gearbox and a new bodywork aimed at cutting the car’s drag coefficient while delivering all the necessary downforce.
The Venom F5 is set to appear for the first time sometime in 2015, with production starting in 2016. A minimum of 30 units will be produced, each carrying a price tag in excess of 1.2 million US dollars.
