An 18-year-old boy passed away in New York this past weekend when he crashed a friend’s Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
Samuel Shepard was test driving a family friend’s Lamborghini Gallardo before losing control of the Italian supercar and hitting a guardrail at high speed. Shepard was announced dead at the hospital, while 49-year-old passenger, Michael Power, sustained serious injury.
The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated but Detective Sergeant Michael Fitzharris said the car was likely driving excessively fast.
