Nico Rosberg beat Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton to pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix, fifteenth round of the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship, by 0.197 seconds in Suzuka this morning.
Williams’ Valtteri Bottas was best of the rest, qualifying third ahead of team mate Felipe Massa and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso who is moving to McLaren next season following Red Bull’s announcement of Sebastian Vettel’s departure to Ferrari.
